The Laboratory of Immunology and Immunopathology seeks to understand the contribution of the immune system to different diseases and conditions, including cancer, infections, autoimmunity and aging, with a particular interest on molecular and cellular metabolism, and a focus on translational system immunology. The Lab has implemented novel and original approaches for analyzing the complexity of cellular interactions and regulations during immune responses. It contributes to developing advanced knowledge in fundamental immunology and to understanding basic mechanisms of interest for innovative immunotherapies, especially for infections, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and cancer. Putting together different experts in several «omics», including immunologists, clinicians, bioinformaticians, mathematicians, computer scientists and biostatisticians, and analysing complex datasets from cytomics, genetics, transcriptomic and proteomic studies, with a special eye in the T cell repertoire, the Lab uses multisciplinary approaches and strategies to understand basic mechanisms of different pathophysiological conditions involving immune reactions.
